Social commitment is part of our DNA

The Silbon Commitment emerged at the beginning of 2015, betting on an innovative solidarity project, which consisted of choosing Raúl Rodríguez, a boy with Down Syndrome, as the main model for our Spring Summer 2015 campaign, giving the world an example of inclusion that broke borders. , becoming our best marketing campaign to this day.

From that moment on we understood that social commitment was going to be a differentiating factor between Silbon and its competitors, and that every year we should materialize it in a great project that encompasses all our social actions.

  1. DOWN

During the month of February 2015 we launched the SILBON COMMITMENT solidarity campaign. For each item sold, €1 was donated to the Down Córdoba Association. SDGs: 3, 10, 16, 17

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 objectives established by the United Nations (UN) in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The SDGs aim to address the most pressing global challenges, such as poverty, hunger, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and social justice, among others. The 17 goals are interconnected and are based on the principles of sustainable development, that is, the balance between economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection.

The fashion sector cannot collaborate with all objectives directly. Therefore, we are working so that in the future our CSR actions through project incentives and collaborations with other companies can contribute to the fulfillment of the greatest number of SDGs possible. At SILBON, in our internal actions we focus directly on SDGs 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 16, 17. And indirectly, SDGs 1, 3, 4, 6 and 10 through collaborations and socio-environmental projects developed by NGOs and suppliers.

COMMITTED TO THE FUTURE

Today, the company's commitment to sustainability remains stronger than ever, with the main objectives for 2023/24 being:

• Create the Silbon Foundation, to be able to channel all our projects through it
• Continue supporting social and environmental projects
• Increase production of OXYGEN products
• Create a Circularity project - encouraging the reuse and recycling of our garments and consequently the reduction of textile waste
• Reduce our environmental footprint through nearby production and use of less polluting transportation.
• Guarantee the transparency and traceability of our products
